About Soluticom
Soluticom is a server infrastructure company. We specify, buy, build, install and support the hardware other people’s systems run on, and we do it without holding a warehouse of stock that has to be sold.
Why we do not carry inventory
A distributor’s warehouse is a bet on what customers will want in six months. When the bet is wrong, the stock is discounted, and the discount comes out of somebody. When the bet is right, the stock was bought at last quarter’s price, which is the one argument in favour of it — and in a market where a generation turns over in eighteen months, it is not a strong one.
We would rather be the party that reads your specification carefully and then goes and buys exactly that. It makes us slower than a web shop on a single disk and considerably better on a rack. It also means we have no incentive to talk you into the thing we happen to be holding.
The one exception is the rental pool, which exists precisely because that equipment is supposed to sit and wait. It is rented and returned, never sold as new.

How we work with people
- The specification is written down before anything is priced, and it is the document both sides argue with.
- A date we cannot confirm is labelled as an estimate on the quotation. We do not pad a schedule to make an estimate look like a commitment.
- Where a cheaper answer exists we say so, including when the cheaper answer is to buy nothing.
- When something goes wrong, you hear it from us first and with a plan attached.
